Refund policy
Summary – returns, cancellation rights, and complaints
- No direct exchange: If you want a different size/product, use the right of withdrawal and place a new order.
- Right of withdrawal 14 days: Notify info@bomulia.no within 14 days of receipt. The item must then be returned within 14 days.
- Return shipping: The customer normally pays return shipping when withdrawing. We recommend shipping with tracking.
- Refund: Refund will be made to the same payment method (Klarna/Vipps/card) no later than 14 days after notification of withdrawal. We can withhold the amount until the item has been received or you have sent tracking information.
- Complaints (faults/damage): Contact info@bomulia.no before returning, with pictures and description. In the event of an approved fault/defect, we will normally cover return shipping.
- Hygiene/use: Items that have been used beyond normal control may result in a reduction in value or a refusal to return.

Exchange
Unfortunately, we do not offer direct exchanges in the online store. If you want a different size or product, you can use the right of withdrawal and then place a new order on our website. Once the return has been received and processed, we will refund the amount or update the invoice if necessary.
Right of withdrawal (return by “undo”)
As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive the goods, according to the Right of Withdrawal Act.
How to use your right of withdrawal
- Let us know within 14 days by email: info@bomulia.no
State your order number and which items the return applies to. - You must then return the item within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
- The item must be returned in the same condition as when received, as far as possible, and be properly packaged.
In the case of sets (e.g., duvet cover + pillowcase), the return must be made as a complete set, not parts.
Return costs
The customer normally covers return shipping, unless otherwise agreed or the item has a defect/fault (see below).
Decrease in value due to use
You can examine the item as you would in a physical store. If the item has been used beyond this, we may deduct a decrease in value from the refund.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are exempted under the Right of Withdrawal Act, for example:
- Specially adapted goods or goods manufactured to your specifications
- Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, when the seal is broken (where this is relevant to the product)
Important: For bedding/textiles, the possibility of return is assessed on a case-by-case basis. If the goods have been used, washed, affected by odors/stains, or otherwise cannot be sold as new, this may result in a discount or reduction in value.
How to return (practical information)
- A return label is not included.
- You are responsible for the package arriving. We recommend sending with tracking.
Procedure:
- Contact customer service for the return address and any return form/return information.
- Pack the item carefully (preferably in the original packaging or similar protection).
- Send the return to the return address you are given.

Refund (Refund)
Once we have received and inspected the return, we will refund the amount without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your notification of cancellation. We may withhold payment until we have received the item or you have provided proof that the item has been shipped (tracking number).
- Refunds are made via the same payment method used for the purchase.
- If you have paid with Klarna, Klarna will normally pause/adjust the invoice or partial payment when the return is registered, and the final amount will be updated when the return is fully processed.
- Standard shipping costs for delivery are refunded in the event of a full return (the most affordable standard delivery option). Additional costs for express/upgraded shipping options are normally not refunded.
- Return shipping is not refunded in the event of an ordinary right of withdrawal.
Complaints (fault, damage, or deficiency)
If the item is defective, damaged, incorrectly delivered, or otherwise defective, the rules on complaints under the Consumer Purchase Act apply.
How to complain
Contact us as soon as possible at info@bomulia.no, and attach:
- order number
- short description of the error
- clear pictures (and possibly video)
Do not return the item until you have received a response and instructions from us.
Solution in case of defect
In case of an approved complaint, we offer, after a specific assessment:
- repair (if possible), or
- replacement (new item), or
- price reduction, or
- cancellation and full refund
In the event of a complaint, we normally cover return shipping when the error/defect has been documented and approved.
Size and tolerances (textiles)
For bed linen, minor deviations may occur. A deviation of up to ±10 cm in length/width may occur as a result of production, material properties, and shrinkage after washing/drying, and is normally not considered a defect.
If you experience a larger deviation, send us a picture showing the measurements when the bed linen is lying flat and even.
Note: The size of the pillowcase is stated in the product description.
Processing Time
Returns are normally processed within 2-3 weeks of receiving the package in stock (during busy periods, it may take slightly longer). Once the return has been processed, a refund/invoice update will be issued.
